Joelle Rogers

Joelle Rogers, MS, LMFT started her career as a marriage and family therapist working with trauma and other mental health problems at Daymark Recovery Services in Boone, NC. She also worked in private practice doing Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) for clients with post-traumatic stress disorder. In 2016, Joelle had a brain hemorrhage causing aphasia. She participated as a client in TAP groups, events, social outings, and much more, and made progress in her language capabilities. Wanting to give back, she became a group leader for yoga and meditation, and now leads the online meditation group during the coronavirus pandemic. Joelle has worked as a special assistant at several major universities and as a youth organizer for national and community programs in Philadelphia, Washington, DC, and Boston. Now, she resides in Raleigh with her mom’s cat, Pumpkin.
