Deb graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Master’s in Speech and Hearing Science, and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Her education also includes a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting with a minor in Math from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, and an MBA from Rivier College in Nashua, New Hampshire.
She is a licensed speech-language pathologist at UNC Rex Healthcare. Over the past decade, she has worked as Coordinator and Interim Manager for Rehabilitation Services at UNC Rex, as well as working as a speech language pathologist at both UNC Rex and Duke Raleigh Hospital. Prior to becoming an SLP, Deb worked in accounting and finance in the manufacturing, retail, and publishing industries.
Deb is originally from New England, and moved to North Carolina in 2006 with her husband and two daughters. Deb’s first involvement with TAP was as a graduate student intern in 2008, where she worked with Maura Silverman, leading PPA, Toastmasters, Aphasia Day and other groups.
