Training Modules

The Triangle Aphasia Project at WakeMed Rehab is committed to providing advocacy and education to increase the community's understanding of aphasia, to reduce communicative barriers and, most importantly, to reduce the social isolation that so often is associated with communicative impairments. Training modules such as "Learn to Speak Aphasia" were designed to provide healthcare workers, community professionals and all interested social organizations with practical skills for interaction with individuals with aphasia. Imagine the individuals that may be served if a counselor, a doctor, home health aide, an attorney, etc. were versed in the methods of communication that assured comprehension and allowed for optimal expression by the individual with aphasia.

Training can be provided in 1:1, small or large group settings and can be provided at your facility.
